This post, being titled Kay-Elle, would obviously be about the recent SNAWDian performance in Kuala Lumpur.

5 loonies, namely Ngai Paing, Teong Jing, Rocky, Jonathan Obama and myself arrived at Central Market, Kuala Lumpur at approximately 8.30 a.m.. The other martial arts performers had already arrived, much to our surprise. We sat around for about 10 minutes before being asked to join a mass exercise routine led by some sports instructor who carries a fancy title. The exercise routine was a combination of Taiji, senamrobik and stretches, something Shaun will surely love. We were like oh-so-bored when doing it. The silat performers who were extremely enthusiastic about exercising, however, is a completely different story. The exercise lasted only for half an hour, much to our relief. We were told to rehearse the steps for welcoming the VIP after that. The man-in-charge of the event was pretty mad at some of the dancers who turned up late for the rehearsals.
The four other guys proceeded to have breakfast at Old Town Kopitiam while I decided to stay outside in front of the stage. Turned out that they only required us to rehearse some dance that involved holding two tiny flags and memorizing simple steps. Should have just followed them in for tea.
The following hour was pretty much dull and boring as we waited for the arrival of the Timbalan Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Vice-Mayor of Kay-Elle in short. At around 10.30 a.m., the VIP finally arrived. We had to make two lines to escort him to his seat. Shortly after the boring speech by him, we did the afore rehearsed dance.
At about 12 noon, we were told to proceed to the backstage to prepare. After the silat performance, came our turn. It was a pretty easy straightforward performance, with us doing the 1st and 2nd zhu hes, me doing half a routine of Nanquan, Rocky doing a quarter of Changquan and Jonathan doing a quarter of Daoshu. After that, we did the basic Daoshu routine for the finale.
We went to Petaling Street for lunch at some Yong Tau Foo store. After collecting our payment, we left Central Market at approximately 1.30 p.m. and headed for Dewan Serbaguna SS15.
