What The Senses Did Today

Today I saw...
...the flash of a weapon.
...the National Wushu Championships.
...my team.
...jaw-dropping, heart-stopping, mind-numbing, insanely mad wushu skills.
...the ugliest lime green costume I have ever seen.
...more skills.
...even more skills.
...some small kid do the most amazing traditional wushu I have yet to see.
...the same small kid pull off an amazing Drunken Fist routine.
...national team players.
...ce kong fan zuan ti. That's roughly translated to "empty cartwheel turn body", also known as cartwheel without hands while twisting the body.O.O
...xuan zi zuan ti. That's more or less a butterfly jump while twisting the body. More O.O

Today I heard...
...the snick of the jian.
...the loud fwrupp of the dao.
...the snap of the nandao.
...the yells from the southern events.
...the satisfactory wumpf made when an athlete nails a perfect landing.
...the cheers from the crowd.
...a guy's voice break when he yelled.
...the encouragement yelled at the sanshou players by their coaches.

Today I smelled...
...the inside of my mask. Boring.
...sweat.
...McDonald's breakfast set!
...more of my mask.

Today I felt...
...that the stadium lights were searing the inside of my brain.
...the toilet was so far away.
...really, really relieved when I got to the toilet at last.
...kind of sorry for Wen Jie.
...a sudden urge to throttle Amelia.
...maybe more than a little left out.
...an inexplicable urge to cry in front of HRB The Mighty.
...oh, so very tired.
...freakishly bored.
...sad.

Today I wished...
...I had that red NWC shirt!
...I was going for the dinner, too.
...I wasn't part of the audience.
...I was going as an athlete.
...I had such mad skills, too.
...Wei Yoong pwnd someone over.
...Shaun pwns someone over tomorrow.
...I had someone to talk to.

And that is what I did today.
