SNAWD Study Tips

It's exam time again! In view of that, SNAWD shall now provide some study tips for (almost) all ages.

General Tips
When people say don't study outside the exam hall just before you go in because you will be stressed, don't believe them. It's a lie. Studying right before you go in helps.
Study constantly. Don't rush it near the exam.
There is no such thing as a honeymoon year.

If you are taking PMR
Geografi & Sejarah: Do plenty of past year papers. If you have run out of time for studying, which is not advisable, skim through your textbook and then do many many questions. And then do some more. When it comes to the exam paper, do the ones from the topics you like first. Then you'll feel better about the rest.

BM KOMSAS: Read the novel. Please. Then you'll understand what's going on. Don't care if it's boring. Read at least one chapter a day.

Maths: Practice. Tuition. But most importantly, practice. A lot. Also can look for Julie for help.

English: I shall now assume all SNAWD members can get A for English.

KH: No past year papers available. This is because all the papers for PMR KH have been SULIT (confidential) since the history of PMR. So please read your textbooks or reference books. For Perdagangan, you can ask Nat.

If you are in Form 4
There is no such thing as a honeymoon year. If you build your foundation now, you won't have to struggle through Form 5. I have conveniently found this out the hard way.

If you are taking SPM
Add Maths: Practice like mad. Buy a yellow AddMaths book by Longman (Wei Yoong has a copy) and if you can do all the questions inside, you are guaranteed an A1. Go for multiple tuitions if you must.

Sejarah: Same as PMR. But more things to read. A lot of memory work on this one, seeing that your paper is now semi-subjective. Which is why you should read a little bit every day.

Maths: Yes, it is possible to get 100 for AddMaths but fail Maths. Dunno why though. Again, multiple tuitions if necessary. Practice lots, especially the angles bits.

Sciences: Find out which diagrams are most important, and then memorise them. Don't believe in SOALAN RAMALAN. They are all lies. Do a lot of practice for Chemistry, find out keywords for Biology, and understand as well as try to remember the formulas for Physics.

English: This blog is called SNAWD. Could you read that sentence? If yes, then you will get A1 for English. If no, please inform Nat so she can kick you out of this blog into next week.

If you are taking STPM
You are so dead. Nothing can save you now.

** All these tips were taken from reliable sources, i.e. people who scored well for PMR and SPM, teachers, friends etc.
