SNAWD Study Tips

It's exam time again! In view of that, SNAWD shall now provide some study tips for (almost) all ages.

General Tips
When people say don't study outside the exam hall just before you go in because you will be stressed, don't believe them. It's a lie. Studying right before you go in helps.
Study constantly. Don't rush it near the exam.
There is no such thing as a honeymoon year.

If you are taking PMR
Geografi & Sejarah: Do plenty of past year papers. If you have run out of time for studying, which is not advisable, skim through your textbook and then do many many questions. And then do some more. When it comes to the exam paper, do the ones from the topics you like first. Then you'll feel better about the rest.

BM KOMSAS: Read the novel. Please. Then you'll understand what's going on. Don't care if it's boring. Read at least one chapter a day.

Maths: Practice. Tuition. But most importantly, practice. A lot. Also can look for Julie for help.

English: I shall now assume all SNAWD members can get A for English.

KH: No past year papers available. This is because all the papers for PMR KH have been SULIT (confidential) since the history of PMR. So please read your textbooks or reference books. For Perdagangan, you can ask Nat.

If you are in Form 4
There is no such thing as a honeymoon year. If you build your foundation now, you won't have to struggle through Form 5. I have conveniently found this out the hard way.

If you are taking SPM
Add Maths: Practice like mad. Buy a yellow AddMaths book by Longman (Wei Yoong has a copy) and if you can do all the questions inside, you are guaranteed an A1. Go for multiple tuitions if you must.

Sejarah: Same as PMR. But more things to read. A lot of memory work on this one, seeing that your paper is now semi-subjective. Which is why you should read a little bit every day.

Maths: Yes, it is possible to get 100 for AddMaths but fail Maths. Dunno why though. Again, multiple tuitions if necessary. Practice lots, especially the angles bits.

Sciences: Find out which diagrams are most important, and then memorise them. Don't believe in SOALAN RAMALAN. They are all lies. Do a lot of practice for Chemistry, find out keywords for Biology, and understand as well as try to remember the formulas for Physics.

English: This blog is called SNAWD. Could you read that sentence? If yes, then you will get A1 for English. If no, please inform Nat so she can kick you out of this blog into next week.

If you are taking STPM
You are so dead. Nothing can save you now.

** All these tips were taken from reliable sources, i.e. people who scored well for PMR and SPM, teachers, friends etc.

Butt Pains!

My butt hurts. I know this is not a very civilised thing to say online, but it really really hurts. I don't mean "Oh, painful" type hurting, I mean knock-you-off-your-socks, blow-the-top-of-your-head-wide-open, screaming-in-agony, fall-down-dead type pain.

OW.

Test Thing

Fine. I shall fill you all in. Although I don't think I really need to, since you all already know what happened today, having been there together with me.

But I like to think our blog is not only read by us alone, but other people from foreign countries like Czechoslovakia and Kazakhstan and Cote D'Ivoire or somewhere like that.

Then again, maybe just us.

Okay. So today was some test-thing for all the stew-dents of The Mighty HRB. Including SNAWD. Which also means a bunch of n00bs. First HRB The Mighty met us, that is Julie, Wei Yoong, Hui Ping the Strange One, and yours truly, at some restaurant called Gao Ren Guan. @@ inoerite. For tall people only. Had lunch with Auntie Jie Jie and Gwen and HRB He-Who-Is-Mighty.

Okay. Let me take some time off to explain why I call The Mighty HRB's wife Auntie Jie Jie.

Cos one day I said "Hello Auntie." And she said "Yer, Auntie like so old." But I didn't feel right about calling her Jie Jie, because it's so informal, and has no limes. Hahaha. Limes is Kenny's word for li mao. As in, manners. So I call her Auntie Jie Jie.

Anyway, Gwyn was so cute! She was wearing this mini-version of the white uniform the students wear, with PINK shoes. I think she likes me now, cos she doesn't run away from me any more. The speed at which she runs away from Wei Yoong, however, is another matter.

So we discussed what to do at the exam and off we went. Julie is a *marvelous* driver. U-turns like mad and makes lorry drivers scowl at her.

Okay. So the exam went okay-okay. Then when it was time to move the carpet out, we discovered how blistering hot it was. Like that time where we went to the fishing carnival in some ulu area and our shoes nearly melted to the ground. Remember? The one where I tried to throw a stick at the audience because it was so HOT.

Okay. I kid you not. It was searing hot. My feet have got grill marks now. Like steak. Woah. Also I thought I was going to faint under the sun, like those girls in movies who go "Oooh.." and fall over. There are really no words to describe how frigging unbelievably hot it was.

And I was also afraid my pants were going to tear. Xiang Ting says my muscles grew bigger.

Yeah. Muscles. Sure. Uh. Muscles. Definitely.

Anyway, we all did well today, especially those who did a full set today. But most of all,

CONGRATULATIONS JULIE!!!!
for earning honorable mention from HRB The Mighty!
*cheers*

After that we rolled up the carpet and moved it back inside. Wouldn't be surprised if the carpet melted from the heat, too. Hung around with Mangkuk Boy, Julzz, Hui Ping, Wen Kah and teacher after that for a bit, just talking and going over the day's events.

Then we broke it up, and Mangkuk and I ran to pull our moms away from away from each other before they, oh, I don't know, revealed my plans for world domination maybe?

Home we went! Golly. What a nice long post, no? Piccies are below, courtesy of Amelia. And her red-eye inducing camera.

I am also led to believe Mangkuk Boy Wei Yoong is witholding a substantial number of photos in his camera. Especially from the Wilayah Games.

Give me them.
