A Tale of Two SNAWDians in Singapore

Yesterday, I went to Bugis to accompany Natalie in her search for a new laptop. Also present were Aunty Eve, Nat's grandmother and Nat's cousin sam gor (I forgot his name =P).

We browsed through several shops in Sim Lim Square. After looking through several brands like Fujitsu, Asus and Dell, and listening to many salesmen talking about the pros and cons of various brands, Nat finally settled for the Dell Inspiron 14R. However, since it was to be paid for by instalments, sam gor had to make a cash deposit first. So, we walked all the way to Sim Lim Tower, only to be told that the UOB Bank is situated in Fu Lu Shou complex, which is in the opposite direction from where we came from =.= So we walked, and walked, and walked, then made the cash deposit, and walked and walked back to Sim Lim Square. Then we had to wait for the card to be processed. So we waited, and waited, and in the process saw an Indonesian family bargaining for 6 Dell Netbooks (that rich guy was going to buy one for every one of his kids I guess).

At about 7pm, the purchase was finally completed, and we made our way to the McDonald's outlet at Bugis Junction where Aunty Eve was already waiting. We had our dinner and a fairly long session of chit chat while waiting for sam gor to get his car, which was parked somewhere at Bencoolen Street. Sam gor eventually arrived, and Natalie and I parted ways once again.

Nothing beats being with family.
