Wushu: Exposure camp for juniors turns out to be a big hit
PETALING JAYA: A wushu exposure camp for juniors, jointly organised by the Federal Territories and Putrajaya Wushu Federation and Ho Ro Bin Wushu Training Centre at the Rakan Muda Sports Complex in Puchong last week, turned out to be a huge success.
The three-day holiday camp attracted a total of 70 young and very enthusiastic participants from the ages of between nine and 12.
The participants were introduced to the basic skills of wushu, interaction through participation in fun games and role plays.
And encouraged by the success, former national exponent Ro Bin will be organising a similar camp for the seniors from Dec 18-21 at the same venue.
“We will be taking in students between the ages of 13 and 17 and registration for participation will close by the end of the week after we have enough people,” said Ro Bin.
He added that the participation of the junior campers was very encouraging.
“There were lots of interaction of fun and laughter.
Certificates of participation were awarded to all the participants.
“There were also displays of wushu by the youngsters to demonstrate what they learnt at the camp,” said Ro Bin.
